Official statement – Aura In the City
Dear AURA Community,
we would like to share with you an important update regarding AURA in the City, scheduled for Monday 1 June.
After months of work, planning and constant dialogue with the relevant authorities, we have been informed of the need to change the event's location.
WHAT HAPPENED
Over the past months we worked intensively to bring AURA to the Palazzina Cinese in Palermo, carefully following the required authorisation process and preparing all the documentation needed to stage the event.
Throughout this process we maintained an ongoing and transparent dialogue with the relevant local authorities and, in agreement with the City Administration, we were able to officially announce the event, the artists involved and to launch ticket sales.
In recent days, however, the managing body of the Monte Pellegrino Oriented Nature Reserve – Rangers Italia informed us that the event "cannot be authorised as it is not sustainable for the protected natural area", citing the presence of electronic and techno music, light installations and an expected attendance of around 3,200 people.
Compliance with regulations, safety requirements and environmental protection has always been a fundamental principle of our daily work. For this reason, although we regret this decision, we have chosen to fully respect the instructions received from the managing body.
We cannot hide, however, our disappointment and our difficulty in understanding how music events of significantly larger scale, with attendance and technical impact far greater than those planned for AURA, can take place regularly within the same Monte Pellegrino nature reserve...
THE NEW LOCATION
Thanks to the cooperation of the City Administration of Palermo, the Port System Authority of the Western Sicilian Sea and the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage of the Sicilian Region, we managed to complete all the necessary procedures in record time to find a new home for AURA.
The event will therefore take place at the Foro Italico in Palermo, one of the most iconic and evocative places in the city: a space overlooking the sea, a symbol of Palermo's history and cultural identity, able to offer a unique and extraordinary setting to share this experience together.
The new location is just a few kilometres from the originally planned venue and will ensure an even more immersive and spectacular experience.

Our team has worked non-stop, day and night, to completely rethink the production project within the Foro Italico, developing new setups, new stage solutions and a show designed specifically to showcase this extraordinary location.
Music, atmosphere, production, quality of services and attention to detail: everything that makes AURA special will be there, with the same passion and the same vision that have guided us since day one.
We have done everything possible to preserve the essence of AURA and to turn this challenge into a new opportunity.
TICKETS
All tickets already purchased remain valid for the new location. No action is required on your part.

AURA will continue to pursue its mission: creating high-level electronic music experiences in extraordinary places, working professionally, respectfully and collaboratively with institutions and with the territory that hosts us.
